wisnet.com provides top notch website solutions to our growing client base.  With both a development team and marketing team in house, there is a need for a person with experience in WordPress development.

Job Description:

A wisnet.com Front-End Developer is responsible for executing high impact websites and applications that reflect each client’s web strategy. The position serves as member of the wisnet Creative team, and works closely with a Project Manager and Designers.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Creative team to understand client and user needs, help refine requirements, and rapidly prototype and iterate on multiple design solutions
  • Author HTML code and stylesheets for cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device functionality
  • Employ jQuery/JavaScript for visual effects, event handling, and document manipulation
  • Construct and support WordPress websites
  • Handle day-to-day tasks and miscellaneous issues
  • Predict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them
  • Meet and exceed internal and external client quality standards
  • Adherence to semantic, standards-compliant HTML; follow coding standards and best practices
  • Understand design principles to ensure the integrity of the brand, look, feel, and messaging
  • Able to effectively communication with team members and customers, with an excellent customer service attitude
  • Self-starter and independent worker
  • Cultivate a love for web development through further education and other opportunities including: online research, independent study of books, seminars, evaluating various third-party products or tools, and exploration
  • Grow professionally in a highly flexible and fast-moving environment
  • Educate team members on latest trends in creative design, approach, and strategy

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years experience
  • Strong HTML5, CSS3, Jquery/Javascript ability
  • Strong responsive web development knowledge (media queries and responsive/adaptive design for desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Basic Photoshop ability (able to pull design elements at minimum)
  • Understand W3C compliant coding practices
  • Ability to create custom WordPress websites
  • Knowledge of methods for graceful degradation of content for older browsers
  • Experience handling multiple ongoing projects and associated deadlines
