COVID-19 Web Grant Program

Up to 40* $2,500 web service packages will be available for small businesses and non-profits based in Wisconsin who are new wisnet clients.

Each grant awarded will provide website services valued up to $2,500 – supporting these WI-based organizations with 10 or fewer FTEs, to provide a quick and easy online presence that may include

Each web grant awarded will provide website services valued up to $2,500 – supporting these WI-based organizations with 10 or fewer FTEs, to provide a quick and easy online presence that may include:

• convenient, contact-less ordering
• w/ curbside pickup, delivery, and/or ship options.

The Geeks & Creatives of wisnet hope that donating their team’s time and expertise (valued at $100,000) will support and keep many small businesses afloat during these unprecedented times AND provide safety and convenience to local consumers.

What’s included:

The website service packages include project support, design, development, and training to get the website up & running.

The wisnet team will apply your logo and color palette, pages, and content provided within our WordPress website framework, including up to:

• 4 pages (Home, Menu/Shop, About, and Contact)
• 10 products
• 5 categories
• Website training and follow up support

You aren’t limited to just those pages and products, though! The power of your WordPress site will allow you to add pages and products as needed once you become empowered through our robust training session.

*wisnet reserves the right to limit the grant offering based on current capacity, number of applications, and other unforeseen circumstances.

What’s not included:

Just one! All grant recipients will be required to have at least one year of hosting with wisnet at $30/month starting in January 2021. Understand that any website package or project includes two distinct budget needs:

1. the cost of the web design / development services
2. the ongoing website hosting and domain name fees.
   
   This $2,500 web service grant applies only to the web services.

To further support, however, grant recipients will receive free hosting through the end of 2020. Billing for monthly hosting fees are $30/month and will begin January 2021. A 7% hosting discount will be applied if you choose to be billed annually. If needed, wisnet is also happy to support in securing domain name at a cost of $25 per year.

Additional functionality and feature requests may fall outside of the $2,500 package scope. Team wisnet reserves the right to evaluate all content and requests provided to ensure we can confidently deliver within the confines of the project scope.

Application Deadline:

The application period for these grants will remain open until December 31, 2020, or until wisnet has exhausted the $100,000 capacity to accept additional applications.
