Hello friends. After seeing and hearing about the devastating earthquake recently in Haiti, my heart was instantly softened for the Haitian people, many of whom are now without even the necessities of normal every day life. Upon learning of the mass amount of destruction, I began seeking ways that I may be able to help… whether it be from my home or actually going. Well, the latter is now the case and I will be heading to Haiti on February 1st (less than two weeks) for 10 days. I will be part of a team through Kids Alive International building a temporary housing community or “tent city” for lost and displaced orphans. - Shane Gillies

The incredible folks at Kids Alive have made an online giving option available at: www.kidsalive.org/rebuildhaiti/. Fill in an amount in the first option (Help Kids Alive Service Teams), and enter your name and address. Then you will be asked how you heard about Kids Alive; make sure you type in: "Shane Gillies" to help sponsor his trip. The money will then be counted on his behalf. Any extra money donated will be put directly towards the orphans they will be serving to assist with basic needs such as food, clothing, and medical.
