HootSuite’s feature-rich application gives anyone the ability to post updates to their social networks, including Facebook and Twitter. This tool can be used by your business to manage multiple networks using one interface. HootSuite has many features including the ability to schedule tweets, add attachments, and shrink long web addresses so they fit nicely on Twitter – which is restricted to 140 characters. In this tutorial, we are going to provide steps for connecting HootSuite to both Twitter and a Facebook Page. If you give a hoot, stick around!

Facebook has recently launched the Like button and Like box. For those of who are not familiar with Facebook you might have run into a "Become a Fan" button when visiting websites. That has been replaced with the Like box and Facebook has added another twist to it... besides liking Facebook Fan Pages your visitors can like specific blog articles, video, images; and when they like them they will be shared with their friends. Stay tuned as we show you an example along with a quick tutorial on creating a like button and box for your website.

We ran into an issue where our Facebook profile was suspended. In addition, it disabled our Facebook Fan Page. Maybe it was an April Fool's joke but it happened just after we wrote an article about Fan Page Vanity URLs, which directed our visitors to view our fan page. Now that we figured out how to resolve the problem we have a solution... along with an apology from Facebook.

It’s time to grab your Facebook vanity URL for the Fan Page! After setting up a Fan Page you might have noticed a super long web address. It might have looked like this: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fond-Du-Lac-WI/wisnetcom/129681521915. It’s long, hard to type, confusing, won’t fit on your business cards, and isn’t the ideal address to forward to a client or vendor. We have a solution and here’s the official tutorial on how to get your very own custom username to create a short and sweet Facebook Fan Page URL. (Also known as vanity URLs.)
